There is always a bit of process around getting ready for a race day. For me, hair, make up and your overall "beauty" look is what completes your Spring Racing outfit. Its the thing that ties the dress, headpiece and accessories together, the last piece of the puzzle so to speak.

Sometimes I get a spray tan and sometimes I don't. This year I didn't. I have spent a few weekends at the beach so my natural colour was quite good, instead of getting a spray I applied a tanning moisturiser the night before just to give my colour a little bit of a lift.

I didn't have the chance to get a manicure before I left Sydney so I booked an appointment at LOVE Face&Body on Toorak Road.  It was my first time there and I was really impressed. The set up was beautiful, it had a luxurious, boutique feel to it and I felt so relaxed while getting my treatments. I highly recommend it for any local ladies or those heading down to Melbourne for the races.

My beautiful Melbourne team, Chantelle Baker and Marie Uva, helped to get me Race Day Ready at Uva Salon in Prahran. Both of them did an amazing job and gave me exactly what I wanted #lovethem.

I always do a mood/inspiration board for most of my events. Its good to have a bit of an idea of what you want before you start getting ready. Sometimes it changes during the process but its always handy to have as a reference. Below is the mood board, Aleysha (my stylist)  and I created for my Caulfield Cup look.

Just remember, when it comes to Spring Racing the most important thing is to be comfortable. If you are comfortable with what you are wearing and how your hair and make up looks then you will be confident.

Be your own person and don't worry about trying to be like everyone else. Your own style is what will make you stand out #BEYOUROWNKINDOFBEAUTIFUL X
