A WEEKLY RUNNING PROGRAM FOR YOU

I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN AN ADVOCATE OF LIVING AN ACTIVE, HEALTHY LIFESTYLE AND SOMETIMES THAT MEANS TAKING TIME OFF TO COMPLETELY RELAX AND REST YOUR BODY! IT IS ALL ABOUT BALANCE AND SOMETIMES IT IS JUST AS BENEFICIAL FOR YOU TO DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IN ORDER FOR YOUR BODY TO TAKE A BREAK AND RESET.

I HAVEN'T BEEN 100% LATELY, I HAD A BAD CASE OF TONSILLITIS AND TOOK SOME TIME OFF TO RECOVER AND GET MYSELF BETTER. BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN SICK I TOOK 10 FULL DAYS OFF FROM ANY FORM OF EXERCISE. AS HARD AS IT WAS NOT TO BE ACTIVE I KNOW IT IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED AND NOW I AM BACK!

 I FEEL AMAZING AND HAVE SLOWLY EASED MYSELF INTO THE WEEK. I STARTED WITH A VERY LIGHT 5KM JOG ON MONDAY AND HAVE NEVER FELT BETTER. 

I WENT AND PAID A VISIT TO MY TRAINER, DAN ADAIR, AT 98 RILEY STREET THIS MORNING. I'M TRAINING FOR THE BLACKMORES SYDNEY RUNNING FESTIVAL SO DAN HAS TAILORED A PROGRAM SPECIFIC TO MY RUNNING GOALS WHICH I THOUGHT YOU MIGHT LIKE TO TRY OUT. IT'S A PROGRAM SET OUT FOR AN ENTIRE WEEK, SO TRY IT OUT, BE CONSISTENT AND LET ME KNOW HOW YOU GO! I ALWAYS LOVE HEARING BACK FROM YOU GUYS.

REMEMBER THIS WORKOUT IS FOR SOMEONE WITH QUITE A GOOD BASE LEVEL OF FITNESS, YOU CAN TAILOR IT TO YOUR ABILITY.

MONDAY - LIGHT 5KM JOG

TUESDAY - REST

WEDNESDAY - 20 X 200M TREADMILL SPRINTS. I DID IT ON LEVEL 17 WITH A COUPLE ON LEVEL 18 THROWN IN FOR A CHALLENGE. REMEMBER WITH THIS IT IS 200M ON 200M OFF, LET THE TREADMILL RUN UNDERNEATH YOU AND JUST JUMP TO THE SIDES FOR YOUR BREAK. 

THURSDAY - GYM STABILITY SESSION. CORE, SINGLE LEGS, GLUTES AND STRETCHING. 

FRIDAY - 6 X 1000M SPRINTS. BETTER IF YOU CAN DO THEM OUTDOORS, IF NOT STICK TO AROUND LEVEL 14/15 ON TREADMILL. YOU WILL BE PUFFING AFTER THESE!

SATURDAY - REST DAY

SUNDAY - 10KM

RUNNING ALWAYS  BUILDS UP AN APPETITE FOR ME. LISTEN TO YOUR BODY AND FUEL IT WITH LOTS OF PROTEIN, FRESH VEGETABLES, FRUITS, NUTS AND GOOD FATS AND OILS. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE SOME MAGNESIUM TOO! IF YOU EXERCISE REGULARLY YOU WILL LOVE THIS PRODUCT, IT REDUCES MUSCLE CRAMPS AND SPASMS, SUPPORTS ENERGY PRODUCTION WHILE EXERCISING AND FOR ME PERSONALLY, IT REDUCES MUSCLE SORENESS AFTER A BIG SESSION!
