I am so excited to be on board for a second year with Joico and the Starlight Foundation for their Christmas Campaign.

I had so much fun at the photoshoot!! Hair stylist, Sarah Laidlaw, sewed hair pieces into my hair to create the desired look. Naturally, my hair is just past my shoulders, so as you can imagine it took lots and lots of hair pieces to get my hair so long. Sarah braided my own hair into tight corn rows and then sewed (yes with a needle and thread) all of the hair on. It was no mean feat and took hours!!

Whilst the photoshoot and images are quite glamorous and fun, the most important part of this Campaign is much broader than the images. This campaign aims to make a difference in the lives of ill children and their families, through the Starlight Foundation. My visit to the Starlight Express room at The Children's Hospital in Sydney was the highlight of my entire time with Joico last year and showed me first hand the money raised truly does have an impact on lives. The Starlight Express room, a fun haven for play, inside the hospital is where the children receiving treatment, siblings and parents can experience some normality and distraction from the stressful and trauma of hospital.

To say my visit to the Starlight Express room touched my heart is an understatement. The Children, Parents and Siblings I met had a real impact on me, a great reminder of how precious life is and how important it is to hold those we love close to us.

The most beautiful part of this campaign is that you too can help and make in difference in the lives of those who are doing it tough, especially around Christmas time. JOICO Australia's Christmas donation helps to grant wishes to ill children supported by the foundation, with a portion of the hair care brand's salon - only Christmas Gift Set sales contributed to the wonderful organisation.

I cannot wait to share more of the campaign images with you over the next month! I hope you like them XO
